*PUBLIC INTIMACY (2009-2010): psychological confrontation, then, physical confrontation

There is no more interesting subject in the world than man. No other structure. No idyllic landscape could distract me from him, no interstellar phenomenon is able of fascinating me as much as the relations he weaves between himself and all that he concerns himself with. He is the highest complexity. And my desire is to penetrate into his most intimate being.

This is the meeting of two personalities who do not know one another and who never will. A failure for sure. A physical relation follows an intellectual contact, without it having been possible to establish the slightest connection between the two wretches. Because there can be no possible understanding between two beings, each of whom have evolved in accordance with its own reality. But there will be communication; a taking into consideration of the being of an exterior being. And this is already an event.

I will act without regard for his/her delicacy, so that all composure will be torn apart, and the silhouette of his/her naked core may emerge. Indivisible protos – raw substance –, the individuum, too fragile to remain exposed to the open, has thrown himself head first into the ravine, and, rolling around, has gradually covered himself with snow and mud. Thus speaking cannot suffice. It is necessary to go to the body. To make him know effrontery, in order to then, through reaction, receive him full in the face; to see him/her rebel and be able to touch his/her life force with my hands.

We do not know with certainty what exactly it is that we must do, nor if there actually is anything to be done, nor if that which we have chosen to do is the best thing for us to do. Uncertainties, that is all we can confront.
